Transition to Success
VITAL Student Veteran Outreach Program
WHAT IS THE VITAL OUTREACH INITIATIVE?
We are reaching out to student veterans to help facilitate a healthy transition from service member to student. Learn how to adapt the skills that made you successful in the military to student life.
The VITAL Outreach Initiative is a partnership between Chicago-area colleges and
Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. The purpose of the program is to enhance services
to student veterans on campus and to provide easy access to VA services and benefits.
We are here to help you successfully navigate this transition with services tailored to
meet the special needs and concerns of student veterans. We belive that veterans have
a unique set of strengths, skills, and life experiences. Our program is designed to help
you further develop these in an academic setting.
VA Enrollment and Benefits Veterans must enroll in the
VA to access health care and other benefits.
